My problem with the Cokers/Hubbards (apart from Pam and Paul) none of them can act. Claudette could have been a 'love to hate' character if she was portrayed by a half decent actress.

I'm not convinced by Jonny Labey's acting either. Lin Blakely is the only competent one in that group in my opinion.

I didn't like Ellen Thomas when she was Mrs Olumbummi and I don't like her as Claudette. Priss and preen, that's all she does.

I go between loving and hating Claudette.
Although I don't think Ellen Thomas has been that brilliant in either role in EE, I loved her as Adoha in the amazing 'Rev'

Maybe Claudette will get the same "exit" as her clone :P .

Yes! And she was great in Teachers too!

I don't mind Jonny Labey and I think it's still early days for Paul. Hopefully he can settle into the role and be given some decent stories.

Ellen Thomas I loved in Teachers but so far Claudette has been underwhelming.

I was hopeful about Claudette when the character first arrived, but she is a vile little creature. It seems that there is a story arc in mind - with Claudette having some vendetta against the Mitchell's, and using Vincent as a pawn in her game. Hopefully this means the character has a shelf life.

In complete honesty, I have warmed to Vincent since earlier in the year, and I do like him when he is being established in the Fox/Trueman fold. Get Claudette out and focus on making Vincent a layered character, I say.
Massive thanks to NickM for this wonderful signature! :)

Roger Sloman is shit, but he's our shit. There's something so oddly endearing about him.

The Cokers are settling in nicely.
This this and more this.

I think Claudette is meant to be as vile as she appears even DTC admitted this, and she clearly has a set story arc with Vincent and the Cokers been caught in the middle of this enmity she has with Phil because as we've seen Vincent genuinely wants to be a father to Pearl and have a stable family unit.

I think I just hate the whole Hubbard set up because, whatever happens, they've been built around the wrong character. I hate the term "Fox-Hubbards" because I detest the idea of Denise and Patrick, by far the two strongest members of that family, being conjoined to such atrocious characters.

Why on earth they decided to build this family around Kim, when Diane and Rudolph are as phenomenal as they are, I'll never know.

Kim and DTC creation = Golden girl.

Truly flabbergasted Kim is getting so much material than Denise.

Someone else definitely finds out next week.

I think I'd be here for every resident of Albert Square to find out the truth one by one. It provides brilliant drama.

I'm still optimistic about the Hubbards even though I find myself tested more and more each time I see them.

I've never really been over the moon about Kim ever though.

I'm looking forward to the dramatic week when Amy Mitchell discovers what really happened that night. :ninja:

Are we sure of that. Sharon might get the duff duff because she finds out about Kathy. It says she finds the name K on Phils phone so maybe she followed him or calls it and discovers Kathy is still alive.

Yeah, Sharon will definitely find out next week. I'm insanely excited about seeing Shaz incorporated into this fascinating Beale set up. This entire story has been a masterpiece.

Having said that, I don't want too many people knowing the truth just yet. It cheapens the turmoil of the Beales agonising over keeping it a secret. Liam finding out is rather baffling.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver
