"Do you know how long it takes to collect rain water in the middle of summer?"

This summer, about 3 days?!

Another awful episode from a plot point of view. The two main stories of the episode just retreaded old tread of tread that has been previous tread of old ground.

That was utterly, utterly abysmal. That Carey Andrews still has a job is an insult to scriptwriters everywhere.

Charlie doesn't necessarily bore me, Ronnie; this episode of EastEnders did, though.

"The show won't shut down for the summer". Hmmm.

I quite enjoyed that really. Prehaps I like Carey Andrews style.

I doubt a show shutting down for the summer would have had so much happen this summer. Shutting down for the summer is true comedy filler plots that lead no where and have no Importance whatsoever.

I enjoyed that too. Lots of characters and good one-liners. Think it's been a pretty decent summer.

I didn't actually mind that episode. Roxy/Ronnie scenes were good as were Cora/Jane and Lindsey Coulsen was brilliant as ever.

Carey isn't too bad she wrote the Christmas Day episode in 2011 which IMO wasn't too bad and she wrote the 18th April 2011 episode when Kat and Alfie finally got Tommy back and she wrote the 15th October 2007 the episode when Jane was rushed to hospital after being shot by Steven.

I found the episode a chore to watch; I've just found EastEnders generally a bit hit and miss this summer. I'm not saying it's been 2013 Lorraine Newman levels of "bad" but neither do I think it's been unmissable. Yes, I know it's all building up to a superb autumn so I'll just shut up.

The entire Lucy storyline has turned into a giant and extremely rushed mess lately. Half of it makes no sense and none of it gets time to breath.
Warning: Posts made by The Local Butcher may contain sarcasm, frustrated expressions of fatigue in the face of Eastenders' neverending insanity, desperate and ill-conceived attempts to be funny, controversial opinions and nuts. Not necessarily in that order.

Carey Andrews' dialogue makes the most tragic story seem comedic. I don't know what it is, but there is just something about it.
