I am sure Jane will be leaving at the eventual end of this storyline along with Bobby. I can see Ian having a lengthy break as well |

I don't doubt Ian doesn't regard Martin and his daughter as family at all. He let them live there. Susan Tully is never returning so as much as miss Michelle, I fully accept we will never see her again. |

Your approval is neither desired nor required. Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism". | |

I think now is the time to build up the new Fowler clan and integrate them with the Beales. There needs to be more life than just Ian and Jane. That house feels so empty. |
| "I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver | |

Of course he considers Martin family, he gave him a place to sleep when he was homeless and Ian was the first person Martin told about Stacey's pregnancy. |

I'm glad Liam is gone, although I did like his last scene with Carol, but I'm gutted about Cindy. Although unlike certain soap producers DTC is good at not revealing every little detail of what's coming up. |

I love Mimi, but I know she splits opinion across the board. I'm sad to see her go for two reasons: the Beale family are getting pathetically small and because there are very few younger/teen characters left in the show. The problem a few years ago wasn't really that the teenagers/characters in their early twenties were front and centre, the problem was that a few couldn't act for toffee and they were generally all given weak storylines. |

To be honest, I won't miss Cindy - but as others have said, the Beale / Fowler house is quite depleted now. Depending on which house Kathy comes back to... |

She'd probably have Mark Junior in tow, thus precipitating the return of Grant. Gosh. That feels like a lifetime ago. |

Kenny is still alive. Also Harry Beale has never been explored.. Relatives are out there. Bringing back Vicki and introducing Mark is also a good idea. Vicki would be 30 and capable of a Stacey type role. They could be best friends. Mark would be a good legacy replacement now Liam has gone. A house of Martin, Stacey, Vicki and Mark. I wonder if Natalie Cassidy was absent on the day the inside scenes were filmed. Sonia just randomly popped up to say goodbye at the tube station( Where was Whitney through?) |

Cindy has been a poor character in her stint. The things that were genuinely interesting, like Cindy struggling with her sense of belonging, or Cindy coping with motherhood or Cindy forging a strong bond with the Beales were minimally touched upon and instead we would get long absences and "I'm not even part of this family" scenes every few weeks. Mimi was also very hit and miss at times. It all became very self aware and that could be very cringey to watch. But her place in the Beale family is valuable. A surrogate daughter for Ian. A daughter of an iconic character. A young character who could work in a social and familial sense. I really feel like Ian is only at his best when he has stories as a father, and that's why his coldness towards Cindy the past few months has lent its hand to really damaging the character. Whilst I have loved the Lucy plot as a whole, I really miss how full and lively the Beales were a few years back. It felt like we were set up for a really solid and strong future for the family, but now, even with Kathy returning, the family just don't feel like they have anywhere to go beyond this Bobby plot. Like I said before, it's times like this I miss Lucy. I just hope Peter is reintroduced sooner rather than later. The Beales need a twin. |

There must be a Steven Beale return surely? Not surprised about this - I think this just leaves Cora left as the only character introduced in the years DTC was absent (as in BK and LN era). |

Did Hetti get axed or quit.I think they shouldn't have sacrificed Lucy, the whole goal I guess was to show a broken family until Kathy sorts it out but we've got them carrying on like nothing happened, maybe Lucy was sacrificed for Kathy.Nothing would cause a buzz like a pretty blonde young woman killed but I think it's done nothing to jump the rating just keep them consistent, just think what they could do with Lucy.Eating disorder,Family,Kathy(Lucy was very close),support to Cindy, business and the Beales really need a matriarch which Lucy could fill given the time and Ian won't be a patriarch when only one child is on the show,Chelle won't be back and Jane doesn't fit matriarch,Lucy had a future,a very good one but its all gone, the story has taken away more than its given. You can imagine Lucy here today and in the future as a stable business woman or a Cindy like character,Hetti really shone in her final performances too |

Don't forget Denny, quietly biding his time, sitting in the kitchen eating a biscuit, until he's ready to become a supervillain. And the atrocious Les Coker. |
