Lacey is good but her range is quite limited. Same facial expressions all the time, same tone of voice when not screeching, same body language for every occasion. She's nowhere near Coulson's league in my opinion but each to their own. Stacey is another one of those characters who had a great first stint but returned and faced a sharp decline in popularity and relevance. It happened to Bianca. It happened to Kat. It happened to Ronnie. It happened to Sharon this time around but that's been rectified in a big way by DTC. I don't see Stacey as anywhere near as vital a character as she once was. The pairing with Martin was a mistake. They have no chemistry whatsoever. Her storylines thus far have been boring. Maybe she'll rise again. Who knows. |

I don't think I used those words. I apologise if my opinions have been exaggerated, and yes I do agree that things have calmed down a little lately. I thank you for appreciating my opinion re Matt DiAngelo. |

To quote you: "people's obsession with her" "StaceyWeb" "the way everyone fawns over Stacey/Lacey" "I won't pass it off as fact (something else I seem to find common with Stacey's fans)" "I also understand that doing anything other than worshipping Stacey/Lacey is basically treason" Do you HONESTLY think that any of these things to say are acceptable in any way shape of form? It's not even criticising Stacey the character or Lacey the actress, they all criticise the fans of either/both. |

You see - THIS is proper criticism of Stacey and Lacey. And I accept it. It's an opinion on the actress and the character. |

You're right, they are all quotes and I'm sorry if you find them offensive, they weren't meant that way. In my previous post to you when I said that I hadn't said that, I was referring to the particular words you used. |

As the new owner of the salon I'd like to see her bond with Lola and see an older sister relationship develop. Oh wait. |

That could have happened if DTC had cut the bullshit and written Dean out long ago. Alfie could have put down some money on the salon and Stacey could have gotten a loan for the rest. Lola and Stacey in the salon would have been nice to see. I think they shared about 2 scenes together that amounted to nothing. |

When the hunky rapist has left I would LOVE to see Stacey running the salon. In the ideal world, Dean will be gone by November (not happening, I know) and Mo will present Stacey with her birthday surprise from Kat and Alfie, they've bought her the salon! I can dream. I don't really know why they had Stacey become a trained colourist in her time away for her to end up back on the stall. |

I would also give Lily an illness as well and the illness would be two types of Leukemia and see how Stacey copes with Lily being ill and the thought of loosing her and she can go off the rails. I think Stacey is a good mum to Lily and I would love to see what Lily is like as a teenager and rebelling and Stacey coping with a teenage girl misbehaving. |

Oh ok. Even though I love Stacey/Lacey I don't fawn over her. Im not happy what the writers are doing with Stacey at the moment making her not nice to Marting and making her pregnant and the thing with Kush but IMO that is no fault of Lacey's and I want to see a storyline when Lily becomes really ill. It would be a great idea to have Stacey running the hair salon, particularly since EE could do with a new space of interaction to lift the community spirit (which is not likely to happen with a rapist in charge) |

Its not just fan appreciation that gets flak. There is an accepted view and if you don't follow it you can take the piss and be rude all you want. Both sides are at it in here. In fact my dislike of Shirley got me abusive PMs which I didn't respond too and this lurker eesarah always likes posts which are rude to me as a result. I find it hilarious this person, that I am so much on their radar and they aren't even on mine. But I can see why others might not. But my dislike of the "accepted" view has seen me be attacked in a really rude way. If someone thinks Lacey isn't as good Matt like the other way round shouldn't have people be rude or taking the piss. I actually think Matt has a far harder role to play. Playing a rapist is a very tough role. |

Your approval is neither desired nor required. Julia Smith "We decided to go for a realistic, fairly outspoken type of drama which could encompass stories about homosexuality, rape, unemployment, racial prejudice, etc., in a believable context. Above all, we wanted realism". | |

My apologies if I upset anyone, it truly wasn't intended. I am now leaving the site as I have said in the General Discussion section. |
