A copycat "Walford Attacker". It would obviously be quite an out there story on paper, but I think it'd be a good way to bring a lot of the women on the Square together in one story. It would also have Sharon at the centre of it and I think that sells it completely for me. Stick Keeble and Marsden on the case as well. Have it run for a month or two and it could be an interesting little story.

Inject a bit of horror into the show. Night shoots and rustles from the gardens. I like it.

"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

I like your idea, but I think Denise would be great in this kind of story.

Definitely! I was thinking it should be much like the original (perhaps with a bit more of a sense of danger), with many of the women getting involved in some way. Sharon would be prominent because she herself was involved the first time around, but characters like Denise would become embroiled in the danger of it.

I think it would be a good lead into exploring PTSD. They tapped on it with Sharon last year, but not to it's full potential. That could be a good story for Denise.

It's bizarre how Denise found out her husband was a killer, had her death faked and was locked in a cellar for a month but had no after-effects. A PTSD story would have been perfect.

I'd actually like the Lucas storyline to rear it's head again in some way. I feel like it was simply written off as opposed to concluded. I think bringing in Jordan Johnston (recast) and having him and Denise have a surrogate mother/son relationship would be interesting. And seeing the impact his father's actions have had on Jordan could provide some really strong scenes between him and Denise, and we could then get some insight into how it has affected her life.

Cast and written right and Jordan could be the flawed young male character the show has been missing, and would have connections to some really prominent characters.

Perhaps a Lucas copy cat killer.

A storyline which no soap has ever done and I think would be a bold move for DTC. Fasten your seatbelts and put on your sunglasses because just the thought of this storyline will be blinding and give you a bumpy ride!

Ian's restaurant has done such fantastic business due to him always being there. Ian hears word that a Michelin Inspector is on his way down. So he prepares the place for the inspection only for a shock twist...a rodent is spotted in the kitchen. They could have various characters react to it with close ups of their shocked faces just to tell the audience that its a comedy plot as well (we need to be told).

We could also include references to some of our favourite classic scenes (similar to the gun in the flowers scene or Nick's body being found in live week) such as Ian and Jane discussing the rodent disaster as Bobby listens in or Tina talking about Sonia's tits. Really remind us of the show's rich history.

Then the inspector himself shows up! And naturally he is an eccentric comedy character that we've seen before a million times. Whoops, wrong soap. Its EastEnders so he will just be a total dick. He will drop monster sized hints that Ian won't be getting his Michelin star leading to Ian giving a heart wrenching speech about community coming together because the East End is the only place in the world for community and no outsider will ever understand that, least of all a bloke in a suit with an interesting job (people outside the East End must be grateful to have this message beamed into their living rooms in return for their licence fee). And of course nothing says more about community than covering up for your own daughter's murderer.

But then theres a twist! Well actually theres a few spread out over the course of a year. The escaped Rodent is a former pet of Gavin's, he is also Stan's ashes thief but the main twist comes when after Ian's speech it is revealed that Michelin Inspector was a decoy. The real inspector is sitting a few tables away enjoying his meal. Oh boy you can imagine Ian's face!

Ian gets his star which leads to his restaurant becoming an even bigger success until it falls pregnant the following week.

Add a vicar, a snake and a prostitute to that storyline and I guarantee you we'll clinch the BAFTA next year.

Abi - Eating disorder/Self harming - After finding out about Ben and Paul, maybe she doubts herself?

Denise - Alcoholism - This one I've wanted since forever, not specifically alcoholism but just a Denise storyline PLEASE. I noticed last year whenever she was upset about Ian or whatever she'd have a drink. She would have a drink to cope and take the pain away, that is alcoholism and I wish they touched on that.

Cora - Alzheimer's - I honestly thought they were going to go with this direction when she returned and I'm absolutely gutted they haven't. They need to give Ann Mitchell something to get her teeth into and this would be perfect.

Kim
- Single motherhood and maturing - Not really a proper storyline, I just want Vincent to fuck off and for her to finally start to mature and become the mother Pearl needs, not just dressing her up as a doll and flinging her onto Denise whenever she's had enough.

Kush - For him to not ever cheat on Shabnam ever again. - Leave Stacey alone. If after what Shabnam goes through he cheats on her to "take the pain away". I am going to be more than furious.

Emma
- To pull a Kathy/Den - This will never happen but I really loved Emma :( RIP. <3

Max - To settle down - I'm sick of him pulling his pants to anyone with a vagina, what's next Cora and Max?? Stop. I want him to finally settle down with someone, and to stop being such a slut. That someone could have definitely been Emma. RIP :( <3

Donna, Les, Claudette and Vincent - I might get some hate for this, but I want all of these characters to leave. I wouldn't care if they were killed off I just want them gone. Sorry, not sorry.

Bianca - I want her back (Jackson 5 pun intended), but maybe not for another 4-7 years, for when the kids are no longer kids and we can give them some new faces and new storylines as well.

Janine - I miss the Queen of mean as well, bring her back! Once again, not for a while but I definitely want her back on the square.
