I am obsessed with this.

I want them to do a Tracey centric someday. We all know she's the one who turns off the jukebox when a fight kicks off. We need to see it.
"I loved it in the Olden Days because you talked more. There’s more action now. You know, we would do scenes in the Rovers of me, Bet and Doris Speed with a cup of coffee each before we opened the pub, talking about absolute rubbish. But it was something, and it was what people do." - Betty Driver

Ok now that topic title got me interested!

And I do think its a fantastic twist. Although one problem...she tells Mick. I know Mick is Ian's sort of mate but does he really need to be heavily involved in all this?

If the death faking does turn out to be a crappy insurance thing then it will be one of my biggest fears in this storyline: That the death itself is seen as an obstacle to getting Kathy back to the square rather than being something that can be used for future storylines. It would be quite annoying if the attitude was "She's dead but now she's alive so there you go". Even more annoying if that was followed up with "We took that approach because we wanted to make room for the Carters in this storyline".

I hope the Mick involvement is brief and not weeks of him keeping it to himself while Nancy bugs him about revealing it.

Picture the scene.

Ronnie and Phil arrive at the airfield, determined to track down Kathy and Gavin. But who steps out of the plane?

Mrs Patel. That's who.

Like Tracey and Mick wouldn't tell Ian but apparently we just can't have a big secret without half the square knowing it before the people who actually matter. I hate how plotdriven the show is becoming, too many characters are maintaining secrets they simply wouldn't keep. It stretches credulity and really hurts the characters.

Tracey is - and always has been - loyal to the Mitchells.

Let's hope Mick's invloment is just the scene with Tracey and not anything more otherwise the Carter outcry's will start up again.

I'd love it if Tracey got the duff duff! I don't get her telling Mick but I certainly buy that she'd stay loyal to Phil/Peggy over Ian, who she's never really had many dealings with.

Did she and Kathy ever interact in the olden days?

She might not tell Mick it's Kathy tho. Just the jist of the situation.
